IOR – Mundrabilla
The Brief
Remote Infrastructure Delivery — Nullarbor Region
Located along the Eyre Highway on the vast and isolated Nullarbor Plain, the IOR Mundrabilla fuel stop presented a uniquely remote construction environment. With no immediate suppliers or supporting trades nearby, the project demanded meticulous forward planning and complete logistical coordination.
All building materials, plant and essential supplies were containerised and transported to site, requiring detailed sequencing and procurement management to ensure every component was available at the point of construction. In an environment where resupply was not readily accessible, precision in preparation was critical — every stage had to be carefully anticipated and self-sufficient.
Delivered as a solar-powered facility, the site integrates renewable energy infrastructure to support continuous operation in one of Australia’s most remote transport corridors. The project reflects MorPro’s capability to execute complex infrastructure works in challenging conditions — combining disciplined planning, technical resilience and measured on-site leadership.
IOR Mundrabilla stands as a testament to structured delivery in extreme environments, reinforcing MorPro’s ability to build with confidence — regardless of location.
