Pre-War Raise & Contemporary Extension
Positioned opposite parkland, Glindemann 31 was thoughtfully reimagined through the careful retention and elevation of its original pre-war residence, complemented by a substantial new wing designed for modern family living.
The project centred on preserving the character and proportion of the existing home while introducing contemporary volume and connection. Restored heritage features — including traditional wall linings, detailed cornices and generous ceiling heights — were paired with a refined material palette to create a seamless dialogue between past and present.
Raising the home allowed for the introduction of expansive living spaces that open fluidly to the outdoors, capturing light and leafy outlooks across the park. The design encourages movement between interior and exterior zones, balancing open-plan family areas with quieter retreats across both levels.
A carefully layered selection of timber tones, natural stone and soft finishes reinforces the home’s warmth and longevity, while the new extension provides scale and flexibility suited to evolving family life.
Glindemann 31 reflects a considered transformation — honouring its pre-war origins while extending its footprint with clarity, restraint and architectural confidence.
